How is this different from my Student Information System?
Your Student Information System (SIS) displays individual student data. The Oregon Data Suite takes the data from your Student Information System and aggregates it so it can be viewed at a district, the building, the school, or grade level with many other demographic and even course filtering options.
Can I use it for ODE reports?
In most cases, the Oregon Data Suite will not match ODE submissions and reports. Unlike ODE data, the data includes current information for all of your students. It is not based on fall or spring membership and does not filter out students based on a short enrollment period.
How will it benefit my teachers?
Teachers can easily view OSAS and ELPA scores, Essential Skills data, attendance, discipline, and course performance, and identify students who are at risk of academic failure. Individual student pages can also be created so teachers can share information with parents. Teacher and student pages are completely customizable to meet your district's needs.
How will it benefit my Administrators?
Administrators will be able to easily view the information by district, building, grade, or student with the ability to filter by demographics. They will also be able to identify students at risk of academic failure.
What if I am using SWIS for discipline?
We can bring SWIS data in for any or all schools within your district. We have several reports and metrics that can incorporate all of your discipline data from SWIS and your SIS.
Where does the information come from?
We import data from your student information system nightly. OSAS and ELPA scores are uploaded nightly from ODE. We try to automate data imports from our 3rd party vendors when possible. Currently, these include AIMSWeb, easyCBM, DIBELS, i-Ready, STAR, SWIS, DESSA, NWEA MAPS, WorkKeys, and HMH Math and Reading Inventory.

What happens when a student enters my district or leaves?
When a new student enters your district, the student will appear in the Oregon Data Suite the day after the enrollment date. Once you run your SSID upload, OSAS and ELPA scores will be available; this process usually takes about 3 days. When a student withdraws from your district, they will show as inactive students on the day after the withdrawal date.
We use a 3rd party vendor for assessments, can that be included in the Oregon Data Suite?
We work with several 3rd party vendors. AIMSWeb, DIBELS, easyCBM, STAR, i-Ready, DESSA, HMH Math and Reading Inventory, and NWEA MAPS. We also can upload PSAT, SAT, ACT, PLAN, and WorkKeys data. We have created metrics and reports for these as well. Vendor Release Link
