📌 Configuring School Codes for Oregon Data Suite (ODS)

To ensure your district interfaces correctly with the Oregon Data Suite (ODS) application, your district must have unique values for either School Code or Sis School Code for each organization. Preferably, the unique value would be Sis School Code but unique School Code values will also work for the integration with the Oregon Data Suite. Edupoint defines Sis School Code as the unique value that is given to each school in your SIS and the School Code can be whichever value you choose. Generally, districts will set this value to match either their State School Code or their Sis School Code.

While not required, it is also recommended that districts are consistent with using only Sis School Code or School Code (whichever is unique) for all integrations and connections to Synergy SIS, including ODS.

💻 How to View and Edit School Codes

You can set these values for each school in the Synergy UI:

Navigate to the Organization screen.
Select the specific school you wish to configure.
The School Code field is located near the top of the page.
The Sis School Code (and State School Code) can be found in the "Other Information" group box further down the page.

Please review your organization configurations to ensure this requirement is met.

Most commonly, duplicate values occur when a single school with a single ODE institution id is split into two or more schools/organization within the SIS.
