Report Purpose

This report provides a student-level view of course performance combined with attendance and behavioral data. It is designed to help educators identify patterns across academic marks, period-level attendance, and discipline incidents within a defined time range.


Parameters

Required Parameters

School Years
Select one or more school years to include in the report.

Schools
Select one or more schools to include.

Start Date
The beginning date for attendance, marks, and behavior data (format: YYYY-MM-DD).

End Date
The ending date for attendance, marks, and behavior data (format: YYYY-MM-DD).


Report Output

The report provides the following information for each student and course:

Student Information

  • School Year: Academic year of enrollment

  • Student ID: Unique student identifier

  • Student Name: Last name, first name

  • Grade: Current grade level

  • School: School of enrollment

Program Indicators

  • 504: Indicates if the student has a 504 plan

  • IEP: Indicates if the student receives special education services

  • ELL / LEP: Indicates English learner status

Course & Marks Information

  • Mark Period: Reporting period for the grade

  • Course Name: Name of the course

  • Course Period: Scheduled class period

  • Subject Area: Subject classification (e.g., Math, ELA)

  • Teacher: Assigned teacher

  • Scale Code: Grade/mark (e.g., A, B, C, etc.)

Attendance Metrics (by Course Period)

  • Absences Count: Number of absences in the course period during the selected date range

  • Tardy Count: Number of tardies in the course period during the selected date range

Behavioral Metrics (Student-Level)

  • Behavior Incidents: Summary of discipline incidents, grouped by type with counts

    • Example: Disruption - 2 | Fighting - 1


How to Use This Report

  1. Set Parameters

    • Select the school year(s), school(s), and date range for analysis

  2. Review Results

    • Data is organized by student and course period

  3. Analyze Student Performance

    • Review grades alongside attendance for each course

  4. Identify At-Risk Patterns
    Look for students with:

    • Poor grades in specific courses

    • High absences or tardies in particular periods

    • Frequent or repeated behavioral incidents

  5. Target Interventions

    • Use course-level attendance and marks to pinpoint where support is needed

    • Use behavior summaries to understand broader student challenges


Notes

  • Attendance data is calculated at the course-period level, not daily totals

  • Behavior incidents are aggregated at the student level, not by course period

  • Only the most recent mark per course and marking period is included

  • Transcript-only marks are excluded due to lack of associated course schedule data

  • All data is limited to the selected date range
