Reports → Attendance → Monthly Tardy Report by Student (Cumulative)
Report Purpose
This report provides a student-level view of cumulative tardy counts by month across a selected school year, with a comparison to the previous school year. It is designed to help educators and administrators monitor patterns in tardiness over time and identify students or groups with increasing or persistent lateness.
Unlike point-in-time monthly totals, this report shows running cumulative counts, making it easier to track how tardies build throughout the year and compare trends year-over-year.

Early warning signs: High counts in the first few months
-
Acceleration patterns: Large increases between months
-
Year-over-year changes: Positive or negative differences compared to the prior year
Identify Areas of Concern
Focus on:
-
Students with consistently increasing tardy counts
-
Students exceeding prior-year totals early in the year
-
Groups of students within the same school or grade showing similar patterns
Support Interventions
Use the report to:
-
Identify students needing attendance interventions
-
Monitor effectiveness of tardy reduction strategies
-
Compare current performance against historical trends
Notes
-
Tardy counts include both daily attendance records marked as tardy/late and period-level tardies, with safeguards to prevent double counting
-
Counts are based on school calendar enrollment days and respect each school’s calendar
-
Monthly values are cumulative, not isolated monthly totals
-
Data is included up to the current date, not future calendar days
-
Prior-year comparisons align to the same relative time window where applicable
-
Only students with enrollment in the selected schools and year are included
-
